Ray Whitlock is from Ashland, Kentucky. Now living in Nashville, TN. He is a working class guy who has forged a true-to-it’s-roots Christian rock/country/pop sound, combining elements of the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s music that picks up where the early nineties gave way to the grunge. While his vocals are on the cutting edge, his sound appeals to a diverse audience. From 1995 to 1998, Ray toured the U.S., Caribbean, and Canada with the country group CRY WOLF where he served as keyboardist and background vocalist. This gave him the opportunity to experience many exciting venues and develop true professionalism. From 1998 to 2003, ONE EYED GYPSY, which Ray fronted, shared the stage with some of rock’s greatest names. He has opened shows for MOLLY HATCHET, BAD COMPANY, .38 SPECIAL, DR. HOOK, KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS, BLACK OAK ARKANSAS, DAVID ALLEN COE, LFO, WILLA FORD, as well opened for Wind-up recording artist AMERICAN PEARL. 2005 saw the release of Ray’s first solo CD.
